Junior Employment Lawyer

A well-respected law firm is seeking an ambitious Employment Lawyer with at least one year's PQE to join its team in Auckland CBD. This is an excellent opportunity to work across a broad range of employment law matters, provide strategic legal advice, and develop your expertise alongside experienced practitioners.

• Conducting legal research and preparing written opinions.
\n
• Assisting with mediations and gaining exposure to Authority and Court proceedings.
\n
• Assisting with preparation for hearings and other employment-related proceedings.
\n
• Providing advice and guidance on employment investigations, including restructuring, misconduct, and performance matters.
\n
• Reviewing and drafting employment agreements, policies, and related documentation.
\n
• Advising clients on a range of complex employment law issues.
\n

• Minimum 1 year's PQE, with experience in employment law.
\n
• A genuine passion for employment law and providing strategic, commercially focused legal advice.
\n
• Strong advocacy, negotiation, research, and drafting skills.
\n
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
\n
• A proactive approach and the confidence to take on increasing levels of responsibility.
\n

You will work alongside experienced employment lawyers and gain exposure to matters before the Employment Relations Authority and Employment Court, while developing your advocacy and advisory skills.
