Seeking applications from experienced Consultant Psychiatrists with extensive Community Mental Health experience

\n

About the Role\n

The primary purpose of the role is to meet the needs of service users and their family/whānau using contemporary care, which is safe, appropriate and effective. The care is based on comprehensive assessment, ensures continuity, and tangata whai i te ora centred, culturally sensitive and evidence based. You will provide assessment, diagnosis and treatment in collaboration with the tangata whai i te ora, their family/whānau and carers and the multidisciplinary team to promote recovery.

About the Team / Service / Location\n

Manaaki House is a Community Mental Health services provide a range of services for adults with moderate to severe mental illness or psychological distress. Services are provided via multi-disciplinary teams which include psychiatrists, nurses, psychologists, occupational therapists, social workers.

About you\n

To be successful in this role:

    \n
  • You will be vocationally registered with the Medical Council of New Zealand with a current Practising Certificate.
  • \n
  • You will also have experience and interest in providing a high-quality service to service users experiencing moderate to severe mental ill-health in a community setting and a commitment to achieving equitable outcomes for Māori is essential in this role.
  • \n
  • You will also hold a full and clean drivers license as this role involves some community work.
