- Drafting and Reviewing Legal Documents: Preparing litigation documents under the guidance of senior lawyers, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and adherence to firm standards. \n
- Court Representation: Attending court hearings, mediations, and settlement conferences alongside senior lawyers to observe and assist in proceedings and, where appropriate, represent clients independently. \n
- Case Management: Assisting senior lawyers with managing case files, organising documents, liaising with clients and witnesses, and demonstrating strong file management skills. \n
- Legal Research and Analysis: Conducting thorough legal research to support case preparation and providing well-reasoned, practical recommendations to senior lawyers and clients. \n
- \n
- Enjoy working with a wide range of people and be able to work successfully within both the litigation team and wider firm environment. \n
- Have at least one year of post-qualification experience. \n
- Have a strong interest in family property and civil litigation matters. \n
- Possess excellent oral and written communication skills. \n
- Demonstrate common sense, sound judgment, and strong interpersonal skills. \n
- Be confident embracing new technology. \n
- Hold a valid law degree and be admitted to the New Zealand Law Society as a Barrister and Solicitor. \n
- Be highly organised with the ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. \n
- \n
Uphold the highest standards of professional integrity, ethics, and client confidentiality.
\nAbove all, this role offers the opportunity to receive strong mentoring and guidance from highly respected litigators, further develop your litigation and dispute resolution skills, and contribute to delivering outstanding legal services to clients.
