Hill Park Kindergarten – Auckland, North Island Full-time position in an established and well-resourced kindergarten catering for children aged 2-5 years old in a mixed age setting, licensed from 8.00am – 3.30pm, including term breaks. There is occupancy for 40 tamariki and a 1:10 teacher to child ratio. The kindergarten has a well-established kaupapa of environmental sustainability and the successful applicant will be a creative, enthusiastic and energetic teacher with an open-to-learning mindset. Seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Head Teacher (with a Full Practising Certificate) with experience in a kindergarten setting, pedagogical leadership, as well as understanding of centre finances, occupancy and attendance would be an advantage, along with a commitment to professional development and on-going learning. The successful applicant must have: sound knowledge of current approaches to teaching and learning be committed to on-going professional development demonstrate strong and inclusive leadership qualities have a passion for supporting, extending and documenting children’s learning, therefore strong ICT skills are a must demonstrate good knowledge of the current ECE Regulations, Te Whariki and hold compliance in a high regard demonstrates a strong commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi through pedagogical practices The successful applicant will: be skilled with the financial and operational aspects of managing a successful centre have sound understanding of funding occupancy and people management to ensure the centre thrives financially CMKA offers generous professional support, employment terms and conditions and professional learning and development opportunities. Start date: To be negotiated Hours required: Monday to Friday 40 hours per week Applicants require a minimum Level 7 Diploma or Bachelor of Training ECE, current first aid certificate and current teacher registration practising certificate.
