This is a part-time role for 16 hours per week. This position offers an excellent opportunity for someone living locally, or within close proximity to Wainuiomata, who is looking for employment within their community. About the role In this position, you will support our teaching team by providing: Daily lunch break cover (Monday to Friday) Head Teacher release time Non-contact duties, including the preparation of learning assessments Active participation in weekly team meetings and collaborative planning You must be able to work every day to ensure consistent lunch cover, however there is some flexibility in how the 16 hours (including 5 hours of non-contact time) are arranged to accommodate both the successful applicant and the kindergarten. About you To be successful in this position, you will: Have the legal right to work in New Zealand, - we are not an accredited employer Hold a current practising certificate from the Teaching Council of Aotearoa Demonstrate a strong knowledge and understanding of Te Whāriki Be reliable, professional, and adaptable, with a positive and proactive approach Value and uphold the individuality of each child Be committed to building respectful, collaborative relationships with whānau and the wider community.
