Gurnell Harrison Stanley Law (GHS) is a generalist law firm with a strong focus on Property, Commercial Law, Relationship Property, Trusts and Estate Planning. We are a busy established legal practice. That’s where you come in. We are looking for a NZ qualified experienced Solicitor to support our Directors, our team, and our clients. We are looking for a Solicitor who will thrive working in a small team, is self motivated and handles responsibility well. This role has a heavy focus on Estates, Trusts and Relationship Property. You'll be expected to handle basic file matters autonomously. You'll take lead on complex files under the guidance and supervision of Directors. You'll need to have a strong work ethic, be self motivated and show initiative. About Us We are a 2 Director firm based in Hamilton with a national client base. We have a team of 9 staff who help us serve our clients. Our 2 Directors have each spent time at the larger firms and now enjoy the rewards of smaller practice. Being organised - with your life and your work Doing what you say you will Communicating with our team and our clients Being curious and open to learning new things Finding solutions, not problems Being adaptable and self-motivated Getting the job done Your Responsibilities Will Include: Supporting the Directors move work out of their office Working productively, track and reach your KPI’s Working autonomously and running your own files Managing client work, expectations and deadlines Participate in firm projects that suit your strengths and interests Continuously expanding your knowledge base to strengthen your legal experience Requirements: 3+ years PQE of recent legal experience Experience working in Estates, Trusts and Relationship Property Other legal experience in Property and Commercial law considered Familiar with or quick to learn new technology applications Able to consistently understand and apply the law Ability to set goals and develop achievable timelines to hit them Highly developed self-awareness and leadership skills Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with clients and our team Ability to foster existing client relationships Competitive remuneration Flexible working model, high trust and high performance required We work a 9-day fortnight, paid for 10 (you 1 paid day off a fortnight).
