Dangerous Goods Management Ltd (DGM) is the leading provider of dangerous goods packaging, training, and consultancy services. DGM also incorporates bio-bottle which designs and manufactures packaging specifically for infectious substances. The Role: We are currently seeking a Freight Handler looking to be part of a positive and friendly team, and to be responsible for the ongoing Auckland (Wiri) operations within the company. Our ideal candidate will be motivated, trustworthy, reliable and can operate at times autonomously in a warehouse/courier environment. This is a hands-on warehouse role and there is limited office work. Attention to detail is imperative as this role incorporates checking Dangerous Goods consignments for Road transport which are dispatched to national customers. As the processing takes place within a busy courier warehouse environment, time is an important factor and must be managed accordingly. Hours of work are Monday to Friday; covering rotating rosters ranging between 7:30am - 9:00pm. Duties include, but not limited to: Carrying out daily safety checks Loading and unloading unit load devices within a busy courier environment. Stock replenishment of consumable items. Stock management and additional general warehouse duties as required including stocktaking and general housekeeping Completing and checking of documentation, labelling, packaging for Dangerous Goods packages for Road transport. (Full training provided). Ensuring SLA (Service Level Agreements) are met in line with our contracting services. At times, be able to operate autonomously in a busy warehouse environment. Provide cover at our other sites around Auckland if required. Successful candidates should have the following: Health and Safety awareness Good communication skills - both verbal and written Strong numeracy and computer literacy (Competent on both Excel & Word) Proven level of care and attention to detail Strive for quality and be customer-centric Motivated, reliable, and physically fit (can lift up to 25kg) Candidates must have the right to work in New Zealand to be considered for this role. #J-18808-Ljbffr
