Clinical Programme Manager - Northern - Hauora Māori Service Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora – Auckland, North Island Full time, fixed term position (12 months) Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is the country's largest employer, delivering universal public healthcare to 5 million New Zealanders. About the Role The Clinical Programme Manager role is responsible for providing programme and project management and coordination support to the Regional Group Manager, Clinical, as well as the regional leadership team, while undertaking additional tasks as required. The Clinical Programme Manager works closely with regional clinical leads to ensure programmes are delivered on time, achieve their intended outcomes, and consistently meet or exceed quality standards. About the Team/Service As the Hauora Māori Service of Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora (Health NZ) our core role is to ensure New Zealanders have better and more timely access to health care. The devolution of resources and decision making to the regions ensures those closest to service users and whānau are involved in decisions on how healthcare is delivered. About you You are a highly experienced clinical professional with deep expertise in the health sector, particularly within Mental Health and Addiction and/or Allied Health Scientific & Technical fields. You are a confident communicator and trusted advisor, experienced in leading projects, mentoring others, and building meaningful partnerships across diverse stakeholders, including Māori and high-needs populations. You thrive in complex environments, providing sound judgement, clinical oversight, and strategic guidance to ensure high-quality service delivery. You will have: Strong clinical experience (8+ years) within the health sector supported by a relevant qualification and current practising certificate Proven commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi, with experience applying Mātauranga Māori and Kaupapa Māori approaches in practice Demonstrated leadership capability, including leading projects, mentoring others, and providing clinical oversight to ensure quality and best practice Excellent communication skills, with the ability to develop governance materials and provide clear professional advice Strong relationship-building, decision-making, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to operate effectively in complex health system environments Working at Health New Zealand Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
