Junior Quantity Surveyor

Junior Quantity Surveyor We’re looking for motivated Junior Quantity Surveyors to join a well-established construction team in Central Dunedin. This part-time opportunity is ideal for recent graduates, undergraduates, or those early in their Quantity Surveying career who are keen to gain practical experience while learning from experienced professionals. Location: Central Dunedin, Dunedin Start date: Immediate Pay rate: Starting from $30 per hour depending on experience, paid weekly What you'll be doing: Assisting with estimates, measurements and tender pricing Reviewing drawings, specifications and project documentation Supporting the preparation and management of variations Assisting with subcontractor pricing, procurement and tender analysis Helping monitor project costs, budgets and financial reporting Working alongside Quantity Surveyors, Project Managers and other construction professionals Supporting the wider team with accurate commercial documentation and cost management What we're looking for: Studying towards or recently completed a qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Building, or a related discipline Some construction industry exposure is beneficial, but candidates early in their career are encouraged to apply Confidence working with numbers and strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to interpret construction drawings, plans and documentation Good Microsoft Excel and general Microsoft Office skills Strong communication, organisation and attention to detail A proactive attitude, willingness to learn and genuine interest in developing a Quantity Surveying career What's in it for you: Starting from $30 per hour depending on experience, with weekly pay Part-time work offering flexibility while you build industry experience Career development and mentoring from experienced Quantity Surveyors Exposure to a diverse range of construction projects Supportive and collaborative team environment Opportunities to build practical estimating, tendering and commercial skills Valuable experience to support your long-term career in the construction industry #J-18808-Ljbffr
