This is a varied and important management role for the day to day operation of The Heke, key to the success of our venue and coordination between customers, suppliers and team members. You will plan, implement and oversee adherence to efficient systems and processes. The General Manager is focused on creating an environment in which their team can thrive and get their highest-impact work done. Our motto is 'better together'. Key responsibilities Ensure excellence in The Heke's physical environment & delivery of our range of guest experiences. Areas of include bars, restaurant and visitor centre, gardener, maintenance. Oversee the venue as a whole to always look and feel welcoming for visitors, guests and our team; Ensure key stakeholder relationships are developed and maintained at every level. This includes important guests, suppliers, tourism partners, event managers and our team members. Ensure profit margins are maintained and agreed costs are not exceeded through effective control systems, including sales analysis, menu costings and cash checks Manage the compilation of monthly reports with the accounts and operations teams, and provide relevant feedback and suggestions to the directors to maximise operational efficiency Work at least one or more key shifts each week across various departments and roles so you are always connected to who we are and improving what we do best Develop staff training and train key leaders to be trainers; oversee the completion of new team members, including the 90 days review Lead the recruiting of staff for the venue to ensure the right calibre of staff is selected to meet company objectives Ensure timesheets are submitted on time for payroll and systemise the management of annual leave and holiday pay Develop and promote a systems-based organisational culture and oversee that everyone in the business is accurately following the business systems Ensure venue operations and guidelines are adhered to as required by the company and the required standards, including liquor licensing, health and safety, employment law and food safety legislation Arrange regular staff meetings and training workshops; hold regular progress reviews with all management staff, identifying areas for development and training needs About you Proven experience leading a best-in-class hospitality venue Ability to manage administrative and day to day accounting tasks Strong knowledge of what it takes to be a best-practice employer Adept at using software, ideally including POS, Loaded, SevenRooms, TripleSeat, Deputy and Xero and willing and able to master a range of software applications Excellent communication skills and a great can-do attitude Your leadership skills ensure the team is motivated to follow your example, and empowers the entire team to give a "one size fits one" approach to hospitality Attention to detail and showing initiative Problem-solving and team focused Flexible, adaptable and a can-do attitude Friendly, outgoing and sociable Confident, assertive, enthusiastic and driven #J-18808-Ljbffr
