We're looking for a proactive Mechanical Maintenance Technician to help keep our plant running safely and efficiently. In this role, you'll prevent and diagnose equipment issues, carry out repairs and respond to breakdowns in a timely manner. You'll work closely with the Shift Team Leader and Engineering Lead Team to prioritise and complete maintenance tasks. Details Rotating Alternate Weekend Shift: Friday, Saturday, Sunday Nights 6pm to 6am / Saturday, Sunday, Monday Dayshift 6am to 6pm Position: Permanent Selection Process: Formal Interview - Online Assessment - Background and Pre Employment Medical Checks – Decision Responsibilities Carry out planned preventative and corrective maintenance, according to job work lists and according to agreed schedule, providing accurate feedback to the Maintenance Planner. Respond to prioritised emergency breakdowns quickly and efficiently, including participation in call-out rota if required. Use SAP to raise work orders, source and reserve spares, record work history, and apply correct failure codes. Work closely with the Shift Team Leader and wider shift team, supporting handovers, reporting and supervising subcontractors when needed. Participate in failure review meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Maintain high standards of Health, Safety, and Environmental compliance, following all OSH procedures, wearing appropriate PPE, and actively managing risks. Qualifications Level 4 Trade Certificate (current NZ EWRB Practising Licence where required). FMCG or process industry experience preferred; SAP CMMS experience advantageous. Competent in MS Office and general computer systems. Strong commitment to Health, Safety, Environment and quality standards. Clear communicator with a customer-focused mindset. Team player who is adaptable, proactive and uses initiative.
