The GEA Farm Technologies Division in New Zealand is proud to support dairy farmers around the world to produce leading dairy products. The division encompasses our Dairy Equipment business (Milfos and Westfalia brandsamongst others) based out of Hamilton and our Dairy Hygiene & Animal Health business (FIL brand) based out of Mount Maunganui. We are now looking for an experienced Finance Manager to join our New Zealand business, based in Hamilton. About the Role: This is a hands-on Finance Manager role with ownership of the accounting function, financial management, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow oversight, controls and business partnering activities for our relevant New Zealand legal entities. In this role you will play a key part in providing financial governance, commercial insight and decision support to local and global stakeholders. You will work closely with finance colleagues, shared service partners, internal stakeholders and external advisors to ensure accurate, timely and compliant financial management, while also helping to improve processes, strengthen controls and support business performance. Key Responsibilities Own the full accounting function across the relevant New Zealand entities, ensuring accurate, timely and compliant financial reporting. Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash flow visibility and financial performance analysis for local and Group requirements. Provide financial advice, analysis and recommendations to support management decision-making. Prepare and review reconciliations, analyse monthly financial statements and report on variances to budget, forecast and prior periods. Support statutory accounts, financial audits, tax audits and corporate reporting requirements. Ensure statutory returns are completed and filed as required, including GST, FBT and RWT. Document, monitor and strengthen internal controls to support compliance with Group, statutory, tax and accounting standards. Partner with shared service teams and internal stakeholders to improve systems, processes, procedures and ways of working. About you You will be an experienced finance professional who enjoys taking ownership, working across functions and providing clear, commercially sound financial guidance. You will bring strong accounting discipline, sound judgement and the confidence to partner with stakeholders across the business. Qualified Chartered Accountant or similar qualification. Strong financial management, accounting, reporting and cost accounting experience. Experience with ERP systems; SAP experience would be an advantage. High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and good working knowledge of financial software and Microsoft Office. Strong analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills. Clear communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships across departments and with external partners.
