Driver and Logistics Support - Fixed term role The Fresh Berry Company of NZ Ltd – Hastings, North Island This role is a fixed term role commencing October/November until April 2027 to cover for an employee who is on extended leave and to assist in the busy harvest season. The role is 40 hours a week, including one day at the weekend. The purpose of the role is to assist with local deliveries and provide logistics support to the Fresh Berry Company of NZ Ltd. Key responsibilities Pickups from local farming operations of produce to be delivered into the Hawkes Bay Distribution Centre Deliveries from the DC to local customers around Hawkes Bay Pickups and deliveries of crates, pallets and packaging Coordination of the logistics function for berry fruit Assisting the management of overall logistics function between the farming operations and the sales and marketing team Liaising with farms and trucks around coordination of pick ups Liaising with the sales team around stock Working with the quality control team to ensure products meet quality expectations Ensuring deliveries are ready for despatch with appropriate paperwork Maintaining accurate documentation and record keeping About you Previous experience in an administration and or logistics/customer service role Class 4 Drivers licence Forklift licence (F endorsement) is preferred Highly organised with great attention to detail and process Strong computer and system skills Eligible to work in New Zealand without restriction About us The Fresh Berry Company of NZ Ltd is part of the RD8 Fresh Produce Group, a privately owned company focussed on the production of the finest locally grown produce to supply markets locally and around the world.
