Part-Time Retail Store Assistant (Weekend Position) About the Role We're looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Part-Time Retail Store Assistant to join our team at Stirling Sports Whakatāne . This role primarily involves weekend work , with the opportunity for additional weekday shifts to cover leave and busy trading periods. As the face of Stirling Sports Whakatāne, you'll create an exceptional shopping experience by helping customers find the right products, sharing your product knowledge, and ensuring our store always looks its best. You'll be part of a supportive and energetic team where teamwork, a positive attitude, and outstanding customer service are at the heart of everything we do. Key Responsibilities Deliver friendly, knowledgeable, and engaging customer service. Assist customers with product selection, sizing, and fitting. Maintain high standards of store presentation, visual merchandising, and cleanliness. Process sales accurately through the POS system. Receive, unpack, replenish, and organise stock. Work collaboratively with the team to achieve sales targets and store KPIs. About You Passionate about sport, fitness, sneakers, or streetwear. Friendly, confident, and customer focused. Reliable, motivated, and enjoys working as part of a team. Available to work weekends on a regular basis. Flexible to pick up additional weekday shifts when required (not essential for applicants who are still at school). Previous retail experience is an advantage but not essential we’re happy to train the right person.
