Property Assistant - Country Club Huapai Hopper Living Group – Huapai, North Island Country Club Huapai is looking for a Property Assistant to join our property team, with a strong focus on helping care for and maintain our extensive village grounds and gardens. This is a varied, hands‑on role for someone who enjoys being outdoors, takes pride in their work and likes being part of a team. While much of your time will be spent working alongside our grounds team, you’ll also lend a hand with general property and maintenance jobs around the village. Working alongside our Property Manager and wider property team, your role will include: What you’ll be doing: Helping maintain our village gardens, lawns and landscaped areas Planting, pruning, weeding, mulching and general garden care Keeping outdoor areas, pathways and shared spaces tidy and well presented Assisting with seasonal grounds work and ongoing garden improvements Using and caring for grounds and garden equipment Supporting general property and building maintenance Assisting with minor repairs and preventative maintenance around the village Keeping an eye out for property or grounds issues and helping get them sorted Working safely and lending a hand across the wider property team There’s plenty of variety, but if you’re someone who would rather spend most of the day outdoors than behind a desk, this could be right up your alley. About You: We’re looking for someone with previous experience in grounds, gardening, landscaping, property maintenance or a similar hands‑on role. You don’t need to know everything on day one, but you’ll bring some practical experience to the role, along with a great attitude, reliability and a willingness to learn. You’ll ideally: Have an interest in gardening, landscaping or grounds maintenance Enjoy physical, hands‑on work and being outdoors in all seasons Have a good level of physical fitness Be practical and comfortable using garden equipment and basic tools Take pride in keeping gardens and outdoor spaces looking their best Be able to work independently while also being a good team player Have a friendly and approachable manner Be comfortable working around and interacting with our residents Have a strong focus on health and safety Hold a current full New Zealand driver licence Previous experience in gardening, landscaping, grounds maintenance, property maintenance or another hands‑on role would be an advantage, but attitude, reliability and a willingness to learn are just as important to us.
