We're now expanding into new markets including the US, alongside new channels and new categories… and we're just getting started! What you’ll do Video Editing & Iteration Performance ad editing: Turn creator, founder and other content briefs into high-performing short-form video ads for Meta, TikTok or other social platforms, using strong hooks, pacing and storytelling. Repurposing content: Adapt and repurpose existing content into multiple creative ad concepts, formats and variations. Iteration on winners: Edit hook, format and length variants from proven high-performing ads, creating new iterations to test. Platform optimisation: Optimise every ad edit for the evolving trends, specs, formats and conventions of each platform to ensure it performs. Trend insights: Stay across emerging formats, creators, and cultural trends to inform editing and content strategy. Performance literacy: Track results and use performance insights to refine concept ideation and editing to improve key metrics. In-house shoots: Own briefing and creative direction for in-house video and image shoots for paid social end-to-end as needed. Shooting content: Film lo-fi content, B-roll, and take lo-fi photographs. Directing talent: Direct customers, team members and creators on camera to ensure the content aligns with the brief. Content library: Maintain and optimise the content library and project files to ensure efficiency. Creative ideation: Contribute to ad ideas, bringing insights on new concepts, trends, formats and approaches that will convert. New concept development: Write scripts and briefs for new ad concepts and formats in line with the creative strategy. Iterating winning concepts: Test and iterate variations from winning hooks, angles and briefs. Cross-functional collaboration: Partner with the Growth and Brand teams to align messaging, targeting, and objectives. AI automations: Build and improve automations that scale creative production, editing and output, while maintaining quality and efficiency. Process improvement: Develop systems and improve processes that increase editing speed and quality. Tool adoption: Actively test new tools and techniques and bring what works into the team's operations. What you’ll need Proven experience producing short-form video content e.g. agency, brand, in-house or freelance Proven ability to edit short-form video that performs, with proficiency in CapCut and/or Adobe Premiere Pro (or similar) Proven ability to work at volume and speed, turning around multiple finished edits in a day without compromising on quality Confident shooting high-quality phone camera footage independently and directing people on camera Solid understanding of digital marketing, including how creative supports broader marketing and performance objectives Deep understanding of TikTok, Instagram and Meta, including platform behaviours, audiences and content formats Demonstrated use of AI as a core part of the editing workflow, with a clear view on where it lifts quality and where it does not Curious and innovative nature, with a strong interest in emerging technologies, platforms, formats and social media trends Strong creative and visual judgement, with high standards for quality, aesthetics and brand consistency High ownership, strong prioritisation, and comfort working independently in a fast-moving environment Collaborative and coachable way of working, acting on feedback quickly to keep review cycles short A proactive, hands-on approach and willingness to get your hands dirty Genuine alignment with Moodi’s mission, vision and values Auckland, New Zealand (Hybrid) What you’ll get Competitive compensation and performance-based incentives Broad exposure to marketing in a high-growth, purpose-driven consumer brand A fast-paced, supportive environment focused on learning and growth We will be shortlisting and interviewing applicants on a rolling basis.
