Location: Wellington Reports to: Lower North Regional Manager Hours: 6.30am to 2.30pm, Monday to Friday, with some weekend work required Position: Full time Start date: As soon as possible Supercare is looking for a proactive and experienced Team Leader to oversee the delivery of commercial cleaning and specialist services throughout the Wellington region. You will lead and support our Wellington cleaning teams, working closely with the Lower North Regional Manager to maintain service quality, develop our people and ensure contracts are delivered safely and efficiently. This is a varied, hands‑on position combining team leadership, training, quality assurance and operational support. The successful applicant must be willing to actively assist with specialist cleaning work when required. Key responsibilities Lead and support cleaning teams across the Wellington region. Oversee day‑to‑day service delivery and ensure sites consistently meet Supercare’s quality standards. Work with the Regional Manager on recruitment, induction, training and employee development. Coach employees, provide regular feedback and complete performance appraisals. Carry out and support specialist cleaning services as required. Assist with new site start‑ups and other operational requirements. Conduct site inspections, quality audits and follow‑up training. Build positive relationships with customers and respond promptly to service issues. Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements, including hazard identification, risk management and accident investigations. Monitor labour, equipment and material costs to support contract performance. Help develop safe and effective working practices across the Wellington team. What we are looking for At least one year of experience in commercial and specialist cleaning. Previous leadership or supervisory experience. The ability to lead, motivate and support a diverse team. Strong communication and relationship‑management skills. A practical, hands‑on approach and willingness to complete specialist cleaning work. Good organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities independently. Confidence using Microsoft Office 365 and other basic workplace technology. A full New Zealand driver licence, with the ability to drive a manual vehicle preferred. Availability to work from 6.30am to 2.30pm, Monday to Friday, as well as some weekends when required.
