Job Description

The International Travel College of New Zealand (ITC) Auckland City Campus | Permanent Full Time Help Students Turn Their Dream Career into Reality "Our goal is to inspire students and deliver exceptional education." Do you love the travel and tourism industry and enjoy helping people take the next step towards an exciting career? This is a fantastic opportunity to combine your industry knowledge, people skills and enthusiasm for travel, tourism and aviation. As a Course Advisor at ITC, you'll play a key role in helping future students discover their career options, choose the right course and begin their journey with us. About the role As one of the first points of contact for future ITC students, you'll be responsible for managing enquiries from people across New Zealand and helping them find the course and career pathway that's right for them. No two days are the same. One day you could be meeting with a prospective student and sharing your passion for the industry, the next you may be helping someone through the enrolment process, attending a careers expo, supporting an Open Day or providing guidance to students already studying with us. You'll be responsible for managing face-to-face, phone and email enquiries, arranging and conducting student interviews, following up prospective students and guiding successful applicants through the enrolment process. You'll also play an important role in supporting students throughout their ITC journey, helping to ensure they have a positive and welcoming experience from their first enquiry through to graduation. Your key responsibilities You’ll be responsible for: Managing face-to-face, phone, email and online enquiries from prospective students. Interviewing and advising prospective students on their study and career options. Matching students with the ITC course that best suits their goals. Supporting students through the enrolment process and ensuring documentation is completed accurately. Following up prospective students and working towards enrolment targets. Providing exceptional service and a warm, professional welcome to students and visitors. Supporting student inductions and helping new students settle into life at ITC. Providing guidance and pastoral support to students when needed. Maintaining accurate student records, enquiry data and enrolment information. Assisting with student loans, allowances and other enrolment processes. Representing ITC at schools, careers expos, Open Days and other promotional events. Working closely with tutors, student services and the wider ITC team to deliver an exceptional student experience. For over 30 years, ITC has been one of New Zealand's leading providers of travel, tourism and aviation education. Our mission is simple, helping students build rewarding careers in an industry they love. This is more than an administration or sales role. You'll have the opportunity to genuinely influence someone's future by helping them take the first step towards a career they may have always dreamed about. A supportive and passionate team. Monday to Friday work-life balance. The opportunity to make a genuine difference in students' lives. Strong industry connections and a respected national reputation. A positive workplace where your ideas and relationships matter. About you You're a high-energy, organised and people-focused professional with a genuine passion for the travel, tourism and aviation industries. You’ll bring: At least three years' industry experience within travel, tourism or aviation. A passion for sharing your industry knowledge and inspiring others. Strong communication and relationship-building skills. Confidence speaking with people from a wide variety of backgrounds. The ability to listen to students' goals and help them identify the right pathway. Excellent administration skills and strong attention to detail. A proactive, adaptable and professional approach. The ability to think on your feet and manage a varied workload. A positive attitude and a commitment to delivering an exceptional student experience. Experience in sales, customer service, recruitment, education or student services would be highly regarded, but your industry knowledge, enthusiasm and ability to connect with people are what matter most. About The International Travel College of New Zealand Founded in 1996, ITC is an award-winning provider of training for the airline, aviation, travel and tourism industries. We're built on professional integrity, educational excellence and a genuine commitment to student success.
