Job Description

Jora New Zealand will close on 9th September 2026. Thank you for being with us, we are cheering you on as you continue your career journey. We're one of New Zealand's largest automotive retail groups, and we get to do something most marketers only dream of: work with genuinely brilliant products. Over 20 global brands, think Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, Audi, Toyota, Lexus, Land Rover and Mazda, plus some exciting newcomer brands making their mark. This is a brand-new role and a genuinely exciting one to be first through the door on. As our Content & Communications Manager, you’ll shape how Armstrong’s shows up wherever our customers and people are looking. That means social media, internal and external communications, EDMs, website content, dealership screens and more. We need someone who's just as at home behind a design program as they are behind a camera or a keyboard. Real design skills, genuine confidence in the Adobe Creative Suite, and the range to move from a print ad one day to a slick video edit the next. Just as important: you'll take true ownership of our social media presence, strategy through to execution, staying ahead of every platform shift and trend so Armstrong's is never playing catch up. You’ll work closely with our Head of Brand, with a genuine opportunity to grow alongside the team and the function. What You'll Be Doing Owning our social media presence from top to bottom: strategy, planning, posting, community management and reporting across Meta, LinkedIn and TikTok Staying one step ahead of social media trends and platform features so we're never the last to the party Designing polished content and assets across print, digital, social and video, hands-on in Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator Shooting and editing short and long-form video using mobile devices and DJI gimbal gear, cutting it all together in CapCut or Premiere Pro Writing and sending EDMs, press releases and thought leadership & other internal comms that people actually want to read Creating and maintaining website content, from news articles and guides through to vehicle launch announcements Playing brand police (the fun kind) by giving social content and EDMs a final check for spelling, grammar, accuracy and consistency before they go live Letting the data do some of the talking: using performance metrics to test, tweak and keep hitting the KPIs that matter Bringing genuinely fresh ideas to how Armstrong's shows up in market, and having the confidence to challenge how things have always been done We're one of New Zealand's largest automotive retail groups, and we get to do something most marketers only dream of: work with genuinely brilliant products. Over 20 global brands, think Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, Audi, Toyota, Lexus, Land Rover and Mazda, plus some exciting newcomer brands making their mark. You’ll work closely with our Head of Brand, with a genuine opportunity to grow alongside the team and the function. What You're Looking For Approx 3-5+ years' experience with preference for foundations in both graphic design and social media A creative designer, genuinely at home in the Adobe Creative Suite Social media savvy, up to speed on the latest trends, features, and what's actually working right now Confident behind a camera, shooting and editing video and stills. DJI experience a big plus but not essential A strong writer who can flex tone effortlessly, from a punchy social caption to a formal internal update Comfortable putting AI tools to work, freeing up more time for the creative stuff that matters Seriously organised, with the ability to juggle plenty of moving parts without dropping any of them A fast learner with a can-do, get-stuck-in attitude, ready to hit the ground running from day one A genuine team player who gets stuck into the team, brings good energy, and is friendly and approachable Proactive enough to chase down whatever you need from the team to get the job done, rather than waiting for it to land in your lap A love of cars is a bonus, not a requirement, though we won't complain if you have one Why Join Us This is a brand-new role with real scope to make it your own, along with a genuine pathway for growth and progression. You’ll work across more than 20 of the world’s leading and most exciting emerging automotive brands, supported by a tight-knit, collaborative Marketing team that genuinely values your ideas. The culture is fun without trying too hard, with racing simulators, Friday drinks and people who enjoy coming to work and collaborating. Best of all, this is a highly visible role where your work will make a meaningful impact on the business. About Armstrong's We're one of New Zealand's largest automotive retail groups, with over 20 global brands, a nationwide network of dealerships, and a business that's growing fast. If cars get your pulse up even slightly, you'll fit right in. Our Group office is based in Mt Wellington, and it's a proper work-from-work business. We're firm believers that the best ideas, and the best culture, come from people being in the same room, bouncing things off each other, solving problems together, and occasionally arguing about which car is objectively the coolest. Because we also know work should be enjoyable, not just productive. Need a recharge mid-afternoon? We've got proper barista coffee machines running the best Allpress beans in the building, so you're never far from a good espresso to keep you charged up. Feeling flat on a Wednesday? Take a few laps in the racing simulator. Made it to Friday? The team's usually found unwinding over a cold beer or a cheeky chardonnay, whatever gets you there. We work hard and back each other properly, but we make sure there's always room to laugh along the way. If this sounds like your kind of challenge, we'd love to hear from you. #J-18808-Ljbffr
