Sterilising Unit Technician - Part-time or Casual Allevia Hospitals - Auckland, North Island About the role: Are you a Sterilising Technician looking for something a little different?AtColumbaatAscot we're looking for a NZ Certified Sterilising Technician to work around 8 (variable) hours per week - either on a casual or a part-time basis. Business opening hours are 7am to 6pm, Monday to Friday. No weekends. Our CSSD team play a vital role in supporting the safe and efficient delivery of surgical services. Our Sterilising Technicians are responsible for the decontamination, assembly, sterilisation, packaging and preparation of surgical instruments and equipment for our operating theatres. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who is physically fit and enjoys working in a fast-paced surgical environment, takes pride in meticulous attention to detail and understands the important role CSSD plays in supporting theatre operations. To be considered, you will have: New Zealand Certificate in Sterilising Technology (Level 4) Previous CSSD experience in New Zealand A good understanding of decontamination, assembly, sterilisation and packaging processes An aptitude for working with mechanical equipment Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills Clear and confident communication skills A reliable, flexible and positive approach to teamwork About us: Situated within Allevia Hospital Ascot in Remuera, Columba at Ascot is a modern and efficient surgical day stay facility catering for procedures in various specialties including Orthopaedics, Gynaecology, Ophthalmology, and Urology.
