About the Role We are seeking an Employment Navigator/Work Broker to join our team and play a key role in helping our clients transition into meaningful, long-term employment opportunities. About the Role We are seeking an Employment Navigator/Work Broker to join our team and play a key role in helping our clients transition into meaningful, long-term employment opportunities. An Employment Navigator/Work Broker in our business is a professional who helps individuals, particularly those facing barriers to employment, navigate the complex process of finding and securing meaningful, long-term work. The role typically involves providing personalized support, guidance, and resources to job seekers, ensuring they are equipped with the skills, knowledge, and confidence they need to succeed in the job market. Your responsibilities will include: Actively sourcing employment opportunities for students through proactive employer engagement, including cold calling, door-knocking, site visits, and follow-up meetings with local and national businesses. Building and maintaining strong, trusted relationships with employers, understanding their workforce needs and matching the right candidates to the right roles. Providing one-on-one coaching and mentoring to students, supporting them through job search, applications, and workplace readiness with empathy, encouragement, and accountability. Facilitating CV, job search, and interview preparation workshops, equipping students with the skills, confidence, and professional behaviours required to succeed in employment. Acting as a key connector between students and employers, coordinating interviews, work trials, and placements, and supporting both parties through the transition into employment. Driving employment outcomes and meeting contract KPIs, including placement, retention, and employer engagement targets. Maintaining accurate reporting and administration, tracking student progress, employer activity, and outcomes to ensure contract and funding requirements are met. About You We’re looking for someone who is passionate about supporting people to succeed, and who has: A genuine love for being out in the community, connecting with new employers, building relationships from scratch, and confidently picking up the phone, door-knocking, and following up to create real job opportunities. Experience working with a diverse range of clients, with a strong understanding of the unique needs, barriers, and strengths of different communities. A deep desire to help people realise their potential and succeed in meaningful, sustainable employment. A proven track record of meeting KPIs and achieving results, while still working in a supportive, learner-centred and outcomes-driven environment. Strong organisation and time-management skills, with the ability to work independently, prioritise effectively, and stay on top of reporting and administrative requirements. A genuine understanding of, and respect for, Māori and Pacifica cultures and values, with the ability to build authentic, culturally responsive relationships with learners, whānau, and employers. This position is based in Manurewa, Auckland with travel required across the region. We are proud to support our local communities, and we are looking for someone who shares that commitment.
