Senior Financial Accountant

Northbridge Executive – Hamilton, North Island My client is a well‑established organisation operating across the building and construction sector, known for delivering high‑quality solutions and maintaining strong relationships with customers, suppliers and industry partners. With continued growth and a commitment to operational excellence, they are seeking a capable Senior Financial Accountant to support their finance function. This is a key role responsible for overseeing financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, and maintaining strong financial governance. The Finance Manager will work closely with senior leaders, the CFO and operational teams, providing clarity, guidance and support across all financial activities. About the role: Oversee daily finance activities including AP/AR, payroll oversight, cashflow management and month-end processes. Work closely with operational, sales and senior management teams to provide clarity, guidance and financial support. Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, enhance reporting capability and improve financial accuracy. Contribute to annual budgets, rolling forecasts and long‑term financial planning. Provide coaching, structure and support to ensure high performance, accuracy and professional growth. Help teams understand financial impacts, job costing, margins and operational decisions. About you: You are a strong Finance professional with 7-10 years experience in Financial Accountant or as a Finance Manager. Ideally you will be from the manufacturing and/or building/construction industry (but not essential) Solid understanding of IFRS accounting standards . Experience with Microsoft D365 Business Central highly regarded. You are a hands-on, lead-from-the-front manager who is comfortable managing individuals and lifting performance across the wider team You have high emotional intelligence and a collaborative leadership style, with the ability to read team dynamics and manage resistance to change. #J-18808-Ljbffr
