Clinical Study Coordinator - Clinical Trials Lakeland Clinical Trials Waikato – Hamilton, North Island Looking for an exciting and meaningful career opportunity in Hamilton? We have an opportunity at Momentum Clinical Research Waikato for a clinical trial Study Coordinator. The role will likely suit someone with a background in clinical research, science, healthcare and/or nursing, but we are open to providing training to the right candidate. About the Business We are an established clinical research site and part of the largest full phase clinical trial network in Australia and New Zealand. You will be a part of a great team involved in medical oversight of clinical trial participants. We are based in a multidisciplinary building in Central Hamilton with a GP practice, a pharmacy, dental, and podiatry clinics. About the Role The role will involve working as part of a collaborative team under the direction of a Principal Investigator to support the delivery of clinical trials. The Study Coordinator is a specialised role that involves working directly with patients. Duties will include: Undertaking study related tasks in line with protocol and ICH-GCP guidelines and relevant policies. Ensuring procedural aspects of the studies e.g. standards of care, informed consent are carried out to a high standard. Assisting with ethics process as required. Liaising with internal and external stakeholders including the trial participants, research sponsors, local labs. Participating in the development of study guidelines for study conduct. Assessing patient eligibility for trials. Providing care and coordination of participants at every stage of the clinical trial journey. Drug accountability and ensuring supplies are stored. Laboratory sample handling. Performing specific protocol procedures such as interviewing participants, taking vital signs, and performing ECGs etc. as required or under supervision. Completing all administrative requirements to a high standard. Skills and Experience Previous clinical research experience preferred but not necessary. Background in science, healthcare and or/nursing. Confidence learning new software systems. Great attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. Strong data entry skills. Excellent time management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Confidence working in fast-paced work environment.
