Mechanical Pipe Fitter

Working alongside an experienced team, you will be responsible for the installation of commercial HVAC piping systems on major construction projects. We are looking for motivated tradespeople who take pride in delivering high-quality workmanship and working safely. Key responsibilities Reading and interpreting plans and construction drawings Installing copper pipework using crimp and brazing methods Installing PPR and PVC piping systems Installing pipe supports, brackets, valves and associated fittings Measuring, fabricating and assembling pipework Working with a variety of mechanical piping materials Completing work to programme while maintaining high quality standards Completing QA documentation and timesheets Working collaboratively with the site team Following all company Health & Safety procedures About you Minimum 2 years' experience in commercial HVAC mechanical pipe fitting Experience with copper pipe installation (crimp and brazing) Experience with PPR piping systems Experience with PVC piping systems Ability to read and interpret construction drawings Excellent workmanship and attention to detail Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team Strong commitment to workplace health and safety Be willing to undergo pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing Have a clean criminal history and be able to provide a police clearance if required About us Axis Plumbing NZ Pty Ltd is a leading mechanical services contractor specialising in large-scale commercial HVAC and mechanical piping projects throughout Auckland.
