We are looking for a skilled and reliable Motor Mechanic (General) to join our team at our newly built car yard and automotive workshop in Auckland’s North Shore. This is a great opportunity for an experienced mechanic to join a growing automotive business and work in a modern, professional environment. Applicants must meet at least one of the following: Minimum 2 years’ relevant experience as a Motor Mechanic, OR Level 4 or higher qualification in Automotive/Mechanical Engineering or a related field, OR Recognised Level 4 or higher trade qualification in Motor Mechanics/Automotive Engineering. Key Responsibilities Diagnose vehicle faults using modern diagnostic equipment. Carry out routine servicing and maintenance. Perform minor and major mechanical repairs. Inspect and repair engines, transmissions, brakes, steering and suspension systems. Test and adjust mechanical components after repairs. Identify faults and recommend appropriate repairs. Carry out vehicle safety and pre-purchase inspections. Prepare vehicles for compliance and roadworthiness requirements. Maintain accurate service and repair records. Communicate professionally with customers regarding repairs and vehicle condition. Maintain workshop tools, equipment and a clean, safe working environment. Follow all workplace health and safety requirements. What We Offer $30–$35 per hour, depending on skills and experience. 40 hours per week. Opportunity to join a growing automotive business.
