We are seeking an AOD Clinician to join ourPhoenix Servicein Papakura . This is a permanent, part-time position working 24 hours per week (48 hours per fortnight), Monday to Friday. Phoenix is a community-based Alcohol and Other Drug service supporting adults aged 18 and over. Our team meets people in familiar and comfortable spaces such as whānau homes, local parks, and community living environments. Using a dual Peer Support and Clinician model, our Peer Support Specialists and Clinicians work in equal partnership to deliver holistic, culturally responsive AOD assessment, treatment, and outreach support. You will: Complete comprehensive AOD assessments and develop recovery-focused treatment plans Provide therapeutic interventions and support tailored to individual goals Work alongside Peer Support Specialists to deliver person-centred support Engage with whānau and external services to support positive outcomes Identify and respond appropriately to risk, including safety and relapse prevention planning Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation Facilitate or co-facilitate group education and recovery programmes Contribute to a culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and recovery-focused service You are a passionate and experienced clinician who is committed to supporting people experiencing alcohol and other drug challenges. You enjoy working collaboratively, building strong relationships, and providing high-quality clinical support that makes a genuine difference in people's lives. You will bring: Current registration with a recognised professional body and a current APC (e.g. DAPAANZ, NZAC, SWRB) 2 years or more experience in AOD or mental health settings Strong knowledge of addiction and recovery frameworks Experience in clinical assessment, treatment planning, and therapeutic interventions Experience working with people experiencing substance use challenges Must hold and maintain First Aid certification including CPR (or be willing and able to complete this).
