Activities Coordinator / Diversional Therapist Kamo home and Village Charitable Trust - Whangarei, North Island As our Activities Coordinator, you will plan, coordinate, and deliver engaging lifestyle programmes that reflect the interests, abilities, cultures, and preferences of our residents. You will work closely with residents, whānau, staff, volunteers, and community groups to create a vibrant and inclusive environment. Key responsibilities Planning and facilitating daily, weekly, and monthly activities Supporting resident participation and engagement Organising special events, celebrations, outings, and community visits Building relationships with volunteers, entertainers, and community organisations Maintaining activity records and documentation Ensuring activities promote physical, emotional, social, spiritual, and cultural wellbeing Contributing innovative ideas to continually enhance our lifestyle programme About you A qualified Diversional Therapist (preferred) Experienced in aged care, recreation, community engagement, or a related field Passionate about improving the lives of older people Creative, organised, and self‑motivated Warm, positive, and able to build meaningful relationships A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively Culturally responsive and committed to inclusion and dignity for all residents About us Kamo Home & Village Charitable Trust has proudly supported older people in our community for many years.
