Our mahi is grounded in Te Tiriti o Waitangi , tikanga Māori, and the values that guide our Trust: As we continue to grow and strengthen our organisation, we are seeking a General Manager who shares our commitment to kaupapa Māori and community wellbeing. This is a unique opportunity for a values-driven leader who enjoys working strategically while also being hands‑on. As General Manager, you will work closely with our Board of Trustees to ensure the Trust is financially sustainable, well governed and positioned to continue delivering meaningful outcomes for our communities. Your responsibilities will include: Leading the day-to-day operations of the Trust, including managing the Operations Co-Ordinator role. Financial management, budgeting and reporting using Xero Preparing funding applications and accountability reports Supporting governance, strategic planning and Board administration Developing and maintaining organisational systems and Standard Operating Procedures Managing HR documentation and employment processes Building positive relationships with funders, contractors, advisers and community partners Ensuring compliance with Charities Commission and legislative requirements Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and organisational growth The role is approximately 5-10 hours per week , with around 2 hours each week based in person in at a convenient location in Auckland , with the remaining hours worked flexibly from home. Ko wai koe | About You You are someone who leads with integrity, humility and purpose. You enjoy working collaboratively while being confident making decisions independently. You understand that strong financial stewardship and good governance enable organisations to better serve their communities. Ideally, you will bring: Experience within the charitable, community or not-for-profit sector Knowledge of governance and working alongside Boards Experience in financial management, accounting or business operations Confidence using Xero and managing budgets, payroll and financial reporting Experience preparing successful grant funding applications Excellent organisational, communication and relationship‑building skills Strong digital capability and confidence managing systems A commitment to continuous learning and improvement He mea nui | What Matters Most While experience is important, we are equally interested in who you are.
