Job Description
Jora New Zealand will close on 9th September 2026. Thank you for being with us, we are cheering you on as you continue your career journey. Auckland (preferable) or Melbourne | NZ & AU coverage The role We're on a mission to give adult smokers a genuinely better alternative - and we need someone who can keep our regulatory engine running as fast as our product roadmap does. As Regulatory Manager, you'll own regulatory operations and project delivery across New Zealand and Australia for our nicotine product portfolio, covering NZ MoH and TGA requirements. You'll lead a small team through submissions, artwork compliance, and product registrations - and you'll be the person NPD comes to before things go sideways, not after. You'll report into our Chief Regulatory & Compliance Officer, who owns Regulatory, Quality and the strategic/innovation side of things - so this role is all about operational execution and delivery, with the strategic thinking and prioritisation calls made a layer up. That means you get to focus on what you're best at: running a tight ship, hitting deadlines, and keeping submissions and product registrations moving. This is a genuinely hands-on role in a fast-moving category. If you like the idea of building out the operational regulatory function as the business scales, this is for you. What you'll be doing Managing day-to-day regulatory operations across NZ and AU - submission planning, tracking, and delivery against deadlines Owning project delivery for regulatory submissions, artwork compliance, and product registration workflows across both markets Providing regulatory input and sign-off into new product development (NPD), so new products are built to meet NZ MoH and TGA requirements from day one - not retrofitted later Acting as the go-to escalation point for regulatory queries across the business Maintaining and improving our regulatory tracking systems and KPI reporting Making sure artwork and labelling changes meet NZ MoH and TGA requirements before anything goes to market Coordinating with Quality, Pharmacovigilance, and external stakeholders to keep everyone moving in the same direction Leading and developing your team What you'll bring 5+ years' regulatory affairs experience across Medsafe and TGA frameworks - vaping/nicotine product experience is a big plus, but strong FMCG/consumer health regulatory backgrounds with the right frameworks will also be strongly relevant Experience managing or leading a team Strong project management skills - you can juggle multiple submissions and deadlines Comfortable working in regulatory tracking tools and turning messy inputs into clean reporting A pragmatic, "let's get this done properly and on time" attitude A genuinely fun, tight-knit team - no corporate stiffness, just people who like their work and each other Work that matters - we're building harm reduction products that give millions of smokers a real alternative A category that's moving fast - new products, new markets, new problems to solve; you won't be bored Flexibility on location - based in Auckland or Melbourne, working across both NZ and AU. If you want ownership of a function that actually shapes how our products get to market - not just ticking compliance boxes - we'd love to hear from you. #J-18808-Ljbffr
