Location: Mt Wellington, Auckland Two-Shift Cycle | Early & Mid-Morning Starts Long-Term Opportunity We are looking for an experienced CNC / Manual Machinist to join a well-established door and window manufacturing operation based in Mt Wellington . This role would suit someone with a solid background operating CNC machinery who also has hands-on experience with manual machining . A trade qualification is preferred; however, we are happy to consider candidates who can demonstrate strong practical machining experience. About the Role You will be working within a busy manufacturing environment, operating CNC and manual machinery to produce components used in the manufacture of commercial and residential door and window systems. The position operates across a two-shift cycle , with a combination of early morning and mid-morning starts . Key Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC machinery Carry out manual machining as required Read and interpret drawings, measurements and specifications Complete machine adjustments and basic troubleshooting Check finished components for accuracy and quality Use measuring equipment to maintain required tolerances Work safely and efficiently within a production environment Assist with general machining and manufacturing duties when required What We’re Looking For Previous CNC machining experience is essential Experience with manual machining Trade qualification in machining, fitting & turning or similar is preferred Experienced machinists without a formal trade qualification will also be considered Ability to read engineering drawings and work accurately Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability Reliable, safety-conscious and able to work within a team Comfortable working across the required two-shift cycle Must be eligible to work in New Zealand What’s on Offer Long-term opportunity with an established manufacturer Mt Wellington location Consistent hours across a two-shift cycle Opportunity to utilise both CNC and traditional machining skills Supportive manufacturing environment Competitive hourly rate based on experience If you have a strong CNC machining background and enjoy the hands‑on side of manual machining as well, we would like to hear from you. #J-18808-Ljbffr
