Or are you an experienced residential carpenter looking to make the move into commercial construction? Choice Construction Group is looking for a motivated and reliable Delivery Driver / Carpenter to join our team and support projects across Wellington and the Lower North Island. This is a varied, hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys being on the tools, solving problems and helping projects run smoothly. No two days will necessarily be the same - one day you could be completing minor building works or defects, the next delivering materials to site, assisting a project team or helping with site logistics. Your responsibilities will include : Carrying out general carpentry and minor building works on commercial projects. Completing maintenance, defects and small works tasks. Delivering materials, tools and equipment to project sites using a company van. Assisting site teams with site setup, logistics and general project support. Helping maintain high standards of quality, safety and presentation across our projects. Working positively with clients, subcontractors and colleagues. Supporting project teams wherever needed to keep jobs moving. We're looking for someone who is practical, reliable and takes pride in their work. You will ideally have : Commercial building experience, although residential carpenters looking to transition into commercial construction are encouraged to apply. A full, clean driver's licence. Good carpentry and general building skills. A positive attitude and strong work ethic. Good communication and customer service skills. The ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks. A strong commitment to health, safety and quality workmanship. Good organisation and a solutions-focused approach. The reliability and initiative to get stuck in and help wherever needed.
