Northbridge Executive – Auckland, North Island Dysart ITM is a trusted, proudly independent building supplies specialist servicing the greater Auckland area. For decades they have supplied premium timber, hardware, and custom building materials to Auckland’s residential trade, DIY and commercial markets. As part of New Zealand's nationwide ITM cooperative, they combine local agility with massive collective buying power. The site is a fast-paced environment featuring a busy retail hardware store, an active trade yard, and a high-volume Frame & Truss manufacturing facility. About the role This is a comprehensive, branch-based senior leadership position that requires trading commercial acumen and a proven level of effective people management skills. You will manage the entire facility's profit and loss (P&L), ensuring seamless synergy between the trade sales team, logistics, and the frame and truss manufacturing division. Reporting directly to the owner, you will benefit from rapid decision-making timelines, minimal red tape, and an entrepreneurial environment. Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership : Drive financial performance, oversee budget execution, and manage branch P&L metrics. People Management : Guide, mentor, and inspire a diverse workforce of approximately 50 personnel across multiple departments. Operations & Manufacturing : Supervise the scheduling, safety, and output of the on-site Frame & Truss manufacturing plant. Sales & Account Management : Cultivate major trade builder accounts and maximize new revenue opportunities across the Auckland region. Health & Safety : Maintain and elevate rigorous health, safety, and compliance cultures across the yard and manufacturing environments. Stock control – oversee supply chain in line with difot and capex goals. working closely with suppliers and key clients to ensure the right inventory and volumes are held in stock or on order. About you To be successful in this position, you must be a visible, supportive leader who thrives on the commercial realities of the construction supply chain. Our Ideal Candidate: Industry Background : Proven management experience within a building merchant, timber yard, or closely related construction manufacturing sector. Leadership Capability : Track record of successfully leading mid-to-large operational teams (ideally 30+ reports) with high staff retention. Manufacturing Knowledge : Direct exposure to or a strong working understanding of Frame & Truss production processes and logistics. Commercial Expertise : Strong financial literacy with experience managing operational budgets, margins, and complex supply agreements. Auckland Market Knowledge : Existing networks or deep familiarity with the local Auckland residential construction trade sector. Legal Status : Full New Zealand Residency or Citizenship is an absolute requirement for this role. On Offer Dysart ITM treat their leadership team like family.
