Packwise supplies packaging and disposables to Auckland businesses — takeaway containers, cups, bags, cleaning products and food-service consumables. We've been going 3 years and most of our customers are regulars. About the role Packwise is looking for a sales assistant for our Otahuhu store. You'll be on the floor and behind the counter serving whoever walks in — café owners, people setting up a market stall, and members of the public after one box of something or less. The job is knowing the product and helping people land on the right one. Someone comes in describing a container they can't name, and you work out what it is, what it costs, and whether there's a better size for what they're doing. Key responsibilities Processing sales and cash handling Keeping shelves faced and stocked Helping with stocktakes Moving cartons off pallets and restocking high shelves Loading customers' vehicles About you Excellent written and spoken English and numerical skills Retail or customer service experience Accuracy with POS and cash handling The ability to work unsupervised NZ permanent residency or citizenship Two contactable work referees No criminal convictions Physically fit as there is frequent heavy lifting of up to 25kg Flexibility around working hours required as we respond to changing business needs Hourly rate of $24 Stable hours with a growing local business Staff buying privileges #J-18808-Ljbffr
