Humphreys Landscaping is looking for an experienced Landscape Foreman to take ownership of the on-site delivery of some of Auckland’s most distinctive residential landscapes. We specialise in premium landscape construction, delivering projects that combine detailed hard landscaping, architectural finishes, planting and bespoke concrete swimming pools. Our reputation has been built on quality, integrity and exceptional workmanship . We’re looking for a foreman who shares those standards—and who has the experience and leadership ability to deliver them consistently on site. The Role This is a hands-on leadership position with responsibility for leading a small construction team and delivering projects safely, efficiently and to a high standard. You’ll work from detailed plans, coordinate day‑to‑day site activity, solve problems as they arise and ensure the finished work reflects the quality our clients and designers expect. Depending on the project, your work will include: Site set‑out, profiling, excavation and earthworks Hard landscape construction and architectural paving Concrete and swimming pool construction Drainage, levels and associated site works Soft landscaping and finishing works Reading and working accurately from detailed construction plans Coordinating labour, materials and day‑to‑day site requirements Maintaining quality, productivity and presentation throughout the build Communicating professionally with clients, contractors and the wider Humphreys team Coaching and developing the people working alongside you What We’re Looking For You’ll already have solid landscape construction experience and be comfortable taking responsibility for both the quality of the work and the performance of your team. You’ll bring: Strong practical experience in landscape construction Proven capability in excavation, site works and construction set‑out The ability to confidently interpret detailed plans, levels and specifications A strong understanding of both hard and soft landscaping High standards of workmanship and attention to detail The ability to organise a site, anticipate what’s needed and keep work progressing Confident, professional communication with clients and your team A leadership style that creates accountability while helping good people become better Experience with swimming pool construction would be highly regarded.
