Hybrid role, happy to talk flexible working (if applicable) We're looking for an experienced Business Optimisation Manager to lead our business process optimisation (Biz Ops) team and drive improvements that make it easier for our people to do their roles. As part of the QBE team, you'll get to spend every day working with people who are passionate, talented and kind. Reporting to the Business Optimisation Portfolio Manager, with a dotted line to the General Manager, Operations & Risk, you'll take ownership of process re-engineering and improvement initiatives. You'll lead projects, guide change activity, and direct the work of a small team without direct people management responsibility. Key responsibilities will include: Lead improvement initiatives, with responsibility for timelines, outcomes, and prioritisation using service data and stakeholder feedback. Lead the adoption of recognised process improvement methodology, customer journey understanding, and technology that supports improved visibility, collaboration, knowledge, governance, intelligence, and automation. Develop project documentation in alignment with company policies, and create improvement artefacts such as process maps, benefit analysis, and KPIs. Work with stakeholders across QBE to evolve processes through process innovation and practice. Ensure improved processes are embedded and implemented by responsible people, communicating their role and delivering the training required to build capability. Ensure the benefits of robust process management are recognised across the Pacific business units, while contributing to a positive and rewarding work environment and supporting team members through change. You're a proactive problem-solver who can lead change, guide others, and take ownership of complex improvement initiatives. You'll bring: A Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt qualification. Demonstrated experience leading business improvement, systems optimisation, or process enhancement initiatives. Experience in the insurance or financial services sector would be beneficial but not essential. Strong stakeholder management skills, including working with senior leaders. Understanding of project lifecycles and process improvement methodologies - familiarity with Agile methodologies is advantageous. An eye for identifying opportunities to innovate and improve systems and processes, with confidence navigating ambiguity and bringing clarity to evolving priorities.
