Butchery Assistant Manager

Silverdale PAK'nSAVE is looking for an experienced Assistant Butchery Manager to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to lead and support the butchery team in delivering exceptional product quality, food safety standards, customer service, and commercial performance while maintaining a safe, efficient, and profitable department. About the role Working alongside the Butchery Manager, you will help lead the day-to-day operation of our busy butchery department. You will play an important role in leading and motivating the Butchery team to deliver high-quality meat cuts and displays, outstanding customer service and maintaining food and health and safety standards. Key responsibilities include: Strong butchery skills with proven experience in a retail or supermarket environment. Comprehensive knowledge of meat preparation, cutting, merchandising, and presentation standards. Experience with SAP and inventory management systems. Sound understanding of stock control, ordering, waste management, and buying processes. Demonstrated ability to achieve sales, gross profit, and productivity targets. About you Has previous experience leading, coaching, and developing teams. Has an ability to create a positive and high-performing team culture. Has strong planning and organisational skills. Is capable of managing rosters, workloads, and department priorities. Works collaboratively across departments and leads by example. Has a strong understanding of Food Safety requirements and compliance standards. Has Health and Safety awareness at the forefront of all activities. Is committed to maintaining a safe working environment. Knowledge of food handling best practices and compliance requirements. Is computer literate. Is positive and energetic.
