About the Role We are seeking experienced and professional Fuel Tanker Drivers to join our Mount Maunganui team, reporting to the Regional Operations Manager. This is a permanent, full-time position. The successful applicant’s shift pattern will be confirmed upon appointment, with shifts rostered to support our 24/7 operation. We offer a guaranteed minimum number of hours per fortnight, with opportunities to work additional hours on rostered days off when available. The key responsibility of this role is to ensure the safe transport and delivery of fuel into customer tanks at both rural and commercial locations. As part of joining our team at Fern you can expect: Full training for the role On-going industry training All Uniform and PPE gear supplied Minimum requirements Experienced Class 5 Licence Must be confident and experienced with towing a trailer Must be physically fit (Note: our trucks have a seat safety rating, therefore applicants must weigh less than 140kg to be considered for this position) The role involves many delivery stops each working day which means a significant number of times you will be required to climb in and out of the truck. The role also requires fitness to be able to climb up and down ladders at many customer sites. 'Live' load experienced preferred Current Dangerous Goods Licence, or the ability to obtain one Flexibility to meet the demands of the operation (some seasonal demands) Excellent Communication Skills both written and verbal Must be capable of using a smart phone and in-cab tablet device (with training provided) Dedicated to following health and safety and standard operating procedures A proven track record of operating safety A customer focused, solutions-based attitude Applicants for this position must have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.
