Within this, our Systems Delivery & Modernisation team focuses on pragmatic, high-quality delivery—supporting projects and programmes to land successfully in complex environments. We're looking for a Senior Consultant / Manager with Project Management experience to join our Auckland team, working across a mix of standalone projects and workstreams within larger programmes. Job Description The Impact You’ll Make You will operate as a senior delivery leader across engagements, with clear accountability for outcomes: Leading delivery of complex projects or programmes, ensuring alignment to client objectives Owning end-to-end delivery accountability for assigned engagements, including scope, schedule, financials, and quality Shaping delivery approach and execution strategy, adapting methodologies to suit client context and complexity Partnering closely with Programme Directors and senior client stakeholders, contributing to programme-level decisions and direction Acting as a trusted advisor at senior levels, providing clear, pragmatic guidance on delivery risks, trade-offs, and priorities Driving proactive delivery assurance, identifying issues early and implementing corrective actions before escalation Leading recovery and turnaround efforts for challenged projects or workstreams Managing and strengthening executive stakeholder relationships, including regular SteerCo engagement Owning commercial performance, including budget management, forecasting, and margin discipline Leading, coaching, and scaling high-performing teams, often across multiple engagements Playing a leading role in business development, shaping opportunities, leading proposals, and converting pipeline Contributing to practice growth, including capability development, mentoring, and embedding best practice delivery approaches Qualifications Your Expertise We're looking for experienced consulting leaders operating at Senior Manager / Associate Director level: Proven experience leading complex projects and/or programmes Demonstrated ability to own delivery outcomes end-to-end, including financial management and risk accountability Strong command of programme and project governance, with the ability to shape and uplift delivery environments Experience working directly with senior stakeholders (GM/Exec level), influencing decisions and building trust Strong commercial acumen, including managing budgets, forecasting, and contributing to profitable delivery Experience operating in complex, multi-vendor and multi-team environments Ability to anticipate delivery risks and intervene early with pragmatic solutions Proven leadership capability, including developing teams and leading other managers or senior consultants Experience contributing to and/or leading proposals, bids, and client pursuits Strong consulting instincts—structured thinking, clear communication, and outcome focus Experience in a Big4 or consulting environment highly desirable Relevant certifications (PMP, PRINCE2, MSP, SAFe) beneficial Additional Information How you’ll be rewarded: We recognise performance beyond remuneration.
