We are looking for an enthusiastic Experienced Soft Furnishing Consultant with a passion for interior design to join our family owned and operated store in Te Rapa Hamilton. Soft Furnishing includes window coverings (Sheers, Curtains, Blinds, Rollers, Romans Etc.), flooring (Carpet, Vinyl, Laminate and Wood) wallpaper and Paint. This position is focused on providing our customers with quality advice and inspiration on their relevant decorating project. It will include showroom sales and in-home consultations, therefore a strong ability to communicate and understand the customers’ needs with enthusiasm and energy are the essential skills required. This role follows the customer’s journey from start to finish, so you will be selling, quantifying, scheduling installs and providing post sales follow-up. We are looking for someone that thrives on taking ownership for their success. The ideal candidate: Proven Successful Selling Experience in a similar or related industry. A passion to learn new things and processes. Technical ability – the ability to measure and quantify for interior projects Computer aptitude – familiar with all Microsoft products and the ability to pick up new systems quickly and easily Strong Customer Focus High Attention to detail You are motivated and energetic and work well as part of a team.
