Lead Educator

Beautification Trust – Manurewa, North Island We're looking for a confident and adaptable go-getter who can coordinate projects with schools and community groups. As our Lead Educator, you'll create experiences for the public that inspire them to learn, love and respect the environment — working across our two flagship programmes, Eye on Nature and Tread Lightly. You'll be responsible for integrating educational outcomes that empower tamariki, rangatahi, and communities to creating a thriving taiao. Key responsibilities Creating and repurposing engaging education content for in person workshops Provide support in staffing Trust events and activities Coordinate Eye on Nature School Days and Creative Arts content with teachers, staff and partners, and support each year's theme and messaging Liaise with schools to deliver environmental and sustainability learning for tamariki and rangatahi Support the Tread Lightly Manager with the in-school programme, including pre- and post-visit assessments Collaborating with the wider team and key stakeholders to support the delivery of annual events like Eye on Nature School Days and Creative Arts Mentor rangatahi team members in delivering workshops and events by working alongside the rangaitahi team to help build their confidence and capabilities Grow and deliver workshops for community groups and workplaces Help process Tread Lightly bookings and reporting, and act as backup for unfilled shifts during the week Represent education objectives at public and community events, including occasional weekends About you Experience and confidence with teaching children, adults, and rangatahi.
