About the Role We are looking for a capable, organised and detail-focused Office Administrator to provide essential administrative and front-desk support to our team. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in producing accurate, professional work and maintaining a well-organised office environment. You will be responsible for transcription of Dictaphone recordings, proofreading and formatting reports and correspondence, maintaining filing systems and templates, researching land titles, and assisting with data entry and general administration. You will also be the welcoming face of the business, managing the front desk, answering calls, greeting clients and handling incoming and outgoing mail. The ideal candidate will have excellent written English, accurate typing skills and strong attention to detail. Confidence using Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel is a prerequisite, along with the ability to quickly learn industry-specific software. Experience with digital audio or Dictaphone transcription is an advantage. An understanding of terminology used across farming, horticulture and forestry would be highly regarded, although it is not essential. Most importantly, we are looking for someone who is proactive, self‑motivated and well organised, with the ability to work independently while also contributing positively to a team. You will take pride in the quality of your work and in maintaining a professional, tidy and welcoming office for both our team and clients. What You Will Do Transcribe Dictaphone audio recordings, agronomy, and forestry reports/correspondence. Proofread and format documents and reports. Research land titles and information. Maintain templates, physical, and digital filing systems. Support the team with data entry and general admin tasks. Manage the office front desk, including answering calls, greeting clients, handling mail, and general office duties. What We Are Looking For Excellent command of English , including grammar, spelling, and punctuation. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel) and digital audio software (Dictaphone experience is not essential but highly regarded). Ability to learn industry‑specific software. Accurate typing skills , ensuring high attention to detail with the ability to self‑proofread. Familiarity with primary sector terminology across farming, horticulture, and forestry is highly regarded but not essential. Strong organisational skills to manage workloads and meet deadlines. Self‑motivated and proactive attitude , with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
