Support Worker - Gisborne

Hours: 40 hours per week to be worked 8 hours per day 8.30am to 5pm, Tuesday to Saturday. About the role | Mō te tūnga The role is offering 40 hours per week to be worked 8 hours per day, Tuesday to Saturday. We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our widespread but connected team in the Central/Eastern district, based in the Gisborne Police Station. This role helps support people affected by crime and traumatic events in our community. A day as a Support Worker could look like: Emotional support and practical assistance with support plans Supporting clients to understand and access resources and clients’ rights Providing guidance through the justice system, and safety planning of whanau and property Connecting with local support services and counselling services where needed.
