Long Bay College - 27 – Auckland, North Island Full-time, fixed-term position starting January2027 Long Bay College is a vibrant co-educationalsecondary school near Long Bay Beach and Village. With approximately 2,000students and 170 staff, we are proud of our culture of care, high expectationsand commitment to student success. Due to a full-year study award, we seek aninspiring educational leader to teach Te Reo Māori and lead this importantcurriculum area. This is an exciting opportunity to strengthen te ao Māori,support excellent outcomes for Māori students and help shape a rapidly evolvingarea of our school. Te Reo Māori is offered from Year 9 to Year 13, includingScholarship. The role may become permanent for the right candidate. Pleasestate any other subject areas in your application. The successful applicant will be a confidentclassroom practitioner and curriculum leader, with strengths in curriculumdesign, knowledge-rich learning and cognitive-science-informed pedagogy. Theywill grow collective practice, support colleagues and work with our engagedcommunity, whānau and Board to improve holistic outcomes for ākonga. A commitment to our culture of care, educationalphilosophy and celebration of academic and co-curricular achievement isessential. The terms and conditions, including base salary andhours of work, for this position is set by the Secondary Teachers' CollectiveAgreement. The base salary for trained and registered teachers will range from$61,329 to $103,086, depending on applicant's qualifications and experience.
