We’re looking for a Sales & Business Support Coordinator to join our small team at Evident. This is a varied, hands‑on role supporting the Managing Director, Business Development Manager, our customers and the day‑to‑day operation of the business. What you’ll be doing Providing administrative and operational support to the Managing Director Supporting our Business Development Manager with customer follow‑ups, arranging meetings and sales activities Responding to customer enquiries and preparing quotes, product information and correspondence Coordinating customer technical support issues from initial enquiry through to resolution, while building your knowledge to assist with common enquiries and issues Processing sales orders, including picking, packing and dispatch Maintaining accurate customer records, activities and follow‑ups in our CRM Receiving stock and assisting with inventory management and stocktakes Completing financial administration, including bank reconciliations, debtors and creditors Assisting with workplace health and safety administration and compliance Supporting expos, conferences and other business activities as required Undertaking general workplace cleaning, including sweeping, vacuuming and cleaning kitchen and bathroom/toilet facilities Pitching in with other practical and administrative tasks that arise as part of running a small business The person we’re looking for Many of our products are technical or scientifically based. You don’t need specialist product knowledge, but you do need an interest in how things work and the ability to grasp basic technical concepts and logical processes. We’ll provide training to build your product knowledge. What matters is that you’re curious, interested in what we do, retain what you learn and become increasingly confident applying that knowledge when helping customers. You’ll be someone who: Works autonomously and shows initiative – you manage your workload and identify what needs attention without constant direction Takes ownership and follows through – you keep track of outstanding matters and make sure things get where they need to go Has a logical and technically curious mind – you enjoy understanding how things work and approaching problems logically Is accurate and organised – you pay attention to detail, check your work and can manage multiple responsibilities and follow‑ups Communicates confidently and professionally – you’re comfortable dealing with customers, suppliers and colleagues and asking questions when something isn’t clear Is adaptable and a genuine team player – you’re collaborative, respectful and approachable, and happy to pitch in wherever reasonably needed Is confident using Microsoft Office and comfortable learning new software and systems Has previous administration, customer service, sales support or business support experience Is physically capable of the practical aspects of the role – including regularly handling stock and packing orders, moving and lifting cartons and other items (some of which can be reasonably heavy), and undertaking general workplace cleaning. Experience with CRM systems, Xero or inventory management software would be useful, but isn’t essential. Your attitude, ability to learn and the way you approach your work are more important.
