Despatch Supervisor - Relocate to Kawerau Lead Logistics, Despatch & Yard Operations We are seeking an experienced Despatch Supervisor to join a large-scale manufacturing operation undergoing significant growth and transformation. This is a newly established leadership position responsible for overseeing despatch, fleet coordination, and yard management functions while ensuring customer commitments, safety standards, and operational excellence are consistently achieved. This role is based in Kawerau, Bay of Plenty , offering an excellent opportunity for an experienced logistics or manufacturing leader to relocate and take on a key position within a growing operation. Relocation packages are available for the successful candidate , making the move to Kawerau easier and more accessible. Whether you're already based in the Bay of Plenty or considering a move from elsewhere in New Zealand, we'd be keen to have a confidential conversation about the opportunity and what relocation support may be available. Key Responsibilities Lead and develop the despatch, yard, and logistics team Ensure customer orders are dispatched accurately, efficiently, and on time Coordinate delivery schedules and freight requirements to meet business and customer needs Manage inventory, stock rotation, and yard storage to maximize efficiency and minimize aged stock Drive continuous improvement initiatives across despatch and logistics operations Manage operational costs and identify opportunities to improve financial performance Produce operational reports and provide insights to support business decision-making Build strong working relationships across planning, production, customer service, and external suppliers Champion health and safety initiatives and promote a zero-harm culture Conduct performance reviews, coaching, succession planning, and team development activities To be successful in this role, you will have: Proven leadership experience within manufacturing, warehousing, logistics, or distribution environments Experience leading teams in large-scale, fast-moving operations Strong understanding of despatch, inventory control, freight coordination, and yard management Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Strong analytical and problem-solving ability Experience driving process improvement initiatives Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office, with SAP or Business Central experience advantageous A hands‑on leadership style with the ability to support operational teams when required Forklift operating experience Logistics, manufacturing, or leadership qualifications are advantageous but not essential What's on Offer Key leadership role within a large-scale manufacturing operation Genuine opportunity to influence and improve operational performance Relocation package available for the successful candidate Long-term career development opportunities Supportive and collaborative leadership environment Competitive salary package based on experience If you are an experienced logistics or despatch leader looking for your next challenge and are open to relocating to Kawerau, we'd love to hear from you. #J-18808-Ljbffr
