Role: Reporting to the Commercial Manager (with a close working relationship to IT), you will be a key member of a small commercially focused team and the BI governance group. Your primary focus is day-to-day BI delivery – maximising value from data and presenting it effectively through intuitive Power BI solutions rather than long, drawn-out project work. You will work closely with commercial, finance, IT and wider stakeholders to turn business needs into clear, well-adopted reporting tools. Some of the key responsibilities: Gather, validate and document business requirements, then translate them into clear functional specifications and reporting briefs. Prototype, enhance, test and deploy Power BI apps and dashboards with a strong focus on user experience and ease of use. Support business transition, provide training and coaching, and author/maintain supporting documentation. Identify issues, risks and improvement opportunities in existing solutions and processes. Ensure all work aligns with information security standards. Continuously improve your knowledge of the business and explore better ways of working with data. What you'll bring: 3–5 years’ experience in Power BI development (data modelling, DAX, Power Query, visualisation and report design). Strong proficiency in SQL and data analysis, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, problem-solving and documentation skills. Commercial or FMCG experience (financial reporting, stock, end-of-month, board packs, P&L analysis) is highly regarded but not essential. Positive, adaptable, can-do attitude and a security-first mindset. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred. Ideally living locally to East Tamaki / Auckland area.
