ConsultANZ is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Estimator to join a dynamic team working on large-scale tender submissions for major projects in Auckland. In this role, you will be responsible for providing accurate cost estimates, preparing commercial tenders, and ensuring alignment with engineering requirements and project schedules. RESPONSIBILITIES Prepare subcontracts and materials inquiries and review received quotations. Develop accurate cost estimates for the permanent works in an elemental and analytical format. Estimate the preliminary resources required for project delivery, in line with the agreed program and engineering requirements. Validate labor and plant resources to ensure alignment with the tender program. Prepare and submit commercial tenders to clients, ensuring compliance with contract documents. Check proposed contracts post-tender acceptance to ensure alignment with original inquiry documents. Present commercial handover documents to the contract delivery team. Collaborate with construction teams to gather output and resource data for future tenders. REQUIREMENTS Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or a related field. Proven experience in estimating and successfully securing large-scale civil projects ($500M+). A deep understanding of engineering techniques and construction processes, with a focus on their applicability. Strong ability to assess site conditions through physical inspections and the interpretation of surveys and investigations. A hands-on, practical approach with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Expert) and related tools.
