ABOUT THE ROLE Every Smartways service contributes to a positive patient outcome. To support growth, we are seeking a Wellington based owner driver who’ll perform runs to regional hospitals. Run: Palmerston North Run 8:30am- Palmerston North 9:30am- Whanganui (Timings above are approximate, flexibility is required) This is a fast-paced, varied role where no two days are the same. A typical day will include: Collecting and delivering medical inventory on time and in full Building and maintaining relationships with customers (new and existing) Working closely with other Smartways team members Proactively managing the return of loaned medical equipment Preparing freight for transport via third-party carriers within the wider Smartways network WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR Our ideal candidate is driven to deliver an excellent customer experience and understands the importance of their role in patient care. You will bring: Strong knowledge of the Hamilton region and ability to determine optimal routes A reliable work ethic and team-first mindset Confidence using technology, including phones and basic computer systems Excellent customer service skills with great attention to detail Clear written and verbal communication skills Availability to work overtime WHAT TOOLS ARE REQUIRED? To be successful in this role, you will need: White, late model, minimum 2 Tonne van A Limited Liability Company A valid and clean NZ driver's licence The legal right to work within New Zealand Willingness to complete a police check and driver history check To operate the contracted vehicle yourself (no subcontracting or third-party supply) Available to start ASAP WHY JOIN US?
