Arataki Ministries is seeking an exceptional General Manager - Service Excellence to join our Executive Leadership Team. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and influence service delivery across our organisation, ensuring the people we support receive safe, effective, trauma-informed and culturally responsive care. About the Role Reporting directly to the CEO, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across all practice and service delivery functions. You will champion service excellence, workforce development, quality improvement, and evidence-informed practice while fostering a culture that reflects our values and commitment to positive outcomes for Tangata Whai Ora and their whānau. Working closely with the General Manager - Systems and Support, you will share responsibility for organisational quality, compliance, risk management, and continuous improvement, helping ensure both our services and systems support outstanding care and outcomes. Key Responsibilities Lead all service delivery functions across the organisation. Drive the implementation of our Service Excellence Strategy. Ensure services meet contractual, regulatory, accreditation and quality requirements. Lead workforce capability development and build a high-performing, values-driven culture. Champion trauma-informed, recovery-focused and culturally responsive practice. Strengthen practice governance, quality systems and continuous improvement initiatives. Develop strong relationships with funders, community partners, iwi, government agencies and key stakeholders. Support organisational growth through innovation, service development and evidence-informed practice. Support the CEO with the management of the organisation, acting as the nominee/deputy when needed. About You To be successful in this role, you will bring: Relevant tertiary qualification (a qualification in Social Work, Occupational Therapy or Nursing). Significant senior leadership experience, including leading large teams and complex services. Strong understanding of mental health and addiction services and contemporary models of care. A passion for trauma-informed practice and person-centred service delivery. Experience in quality management, compliance, risk management and service improvement. Excellent relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills. The ability to inspire, support and develop leaders and teams.
