Our team of Quality Testers work in a fast-paced heavy industry manufacturing environment. The role involves collecting and analysing paperboard and process samples, reporting results, calibrating equipment, and supporting claims investigations. The position works closely with paper machine operations, requiring you to help maintain machine uptime as needed. This position is part of the WML Collective Employment Agreement and follows a 12-hour rotating shift roster. Key responsibilities Collecting and analysing paperboard and process samples Reporting results Calibrating equipment Supporting claims investigations Conducting physical testing Collating and reporting results Assisting with departmental product and process development activities About you Demonstrates a strong work ethic and commitment to quality Thrives in a fast-paced environment Self-motivated, capable of working independently and without supervision Accurate reporting required Able to work autonomously or in a team as required Maintains a high level of integrity Skilled in collating and analysing information Willingness to adapt to changing environment and learn new skills as required Physically fit, able to stand and walk for most of a 12-hour shift Holds a formal qualification in a science-related or similar field Has prior experience in laboratory or quality assurance testing About us Whakatane Mill Limited continues as one of the Whakatane District's largest employers manufacturing folding boxboard for a global packaging market.
